Sadly, grief is an experience that most of us will go through during our lifetime. In this Growing with Grief workshop we offer some insight on why grief is such a painful process and explore the different ways grief can be experienced. We provide two different models of understanding grief and discuss what happens when we divert away from the “typical” grief process and toward something more complex or complicated.
At Investing in Wellbeing, we do not believe grief is a mental health problem but a normal part of life and is not something we would routinely recommend you try to change. This is why instead of our usual approach of providing strategies to overcome your problems, in this workshop, we provide knowledge and ideas for good self care to help you through a difficult time of life. Of course, for those who recognise that their grief is more complex or complicated, there is signposting of where you can get therapeutic support.
